What can be the consequences a small area of ischemia at the apex of the left ventricle?

Googled this but did not get much information. My older sister e-mailed me and told me that this was the result of her stress test. Just wondered how serious this is or can be. Please- no jokes. Serious, informative replies only. Thank you.
