How much do you need to pay for hockey?

im 14.and short.around 5'' ish. and i want to play hockey bad.i am not that strong.i can skate well. but just need some practices with stopping. and i was just wondering how much do you need to pay for hockey fees.equipments..my parents say im too short.weak to play.but i really want to play.they also said if they have enough money to pay for me.they would let me play.i do not want to play goalie.i would play forward.so how much is equipments.etc. ?
