Do you have to pre book water sports equipment at big bear lake in the summer?

My family and I are heading to big bear lake in August.We're from England and there's not too much info on the internet.I'm wondering if you have to pre-book jet ski's and other water sports equipment or do they have more than enough? Thanks.
